A burn ban has been issued for Faulkner County after the Arkansas Forestry Commission listed the county’s wildfire danger level as "high."

According to Faulkner County Judge Preston Scroggin, the ban went into effect Tuesday afternoon.

Dry conditions, as well as the wildfire danger level, led to the enactment of the ban.

According to the Arkansas Forestry Commission’s Web site, 45 counties had burn bans in effect Tuesday and the wildfire danger levels were considered "high" in 34 counties.
