The state highway commission today called for bids to be received on Dec. 4 for construction of nine miles of the Greenbrier - Rosebud farm-to-market road, popularly known as the "Hardy highway". The contract will include grading, drainage structures and gravel surfacing of the road from Greenbrier eastward to the Radio community, where Dr. H. B. Hardy, state senator of the 27th district, resides.

Jeff D. Henderson, sophomore at Arkansas State Teachers College has been notified that his peom "Metamorphis of Death" has been accepted for publication in the Annual Anthology of College Poetry.

Henderson is majoring in English. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Henderson Jr., of Cabot.

Katrina Winters of Conway, who received a President’s Select Scholarship to Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge (Lawrence County).

Miss Winters is a senior at Greenbrier High School, and a daughter of Thad and Kay Winters of Conway.
