Shelby Shearer, pictured above fifth from left, was the winner of a special youth hunt that was given away at the 11th annual Central Arkansas Buckmasters banquet. Shelby is the daughter of Robert and Joannie Shearer of Conway. As the winner, Shearer and her family were guests of the Dallas Hunt Club, in Sparkman that co-sponsored the hunt along with Buckmasters American Deer Foundation. A special doe permit issued to the Dallas Hunt Club as part of their participation in the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s D-Map Program (Deer Management Assistance Program) was used by Shelby to harvest her first deer. The Dallas Hunt Club voted unanimously to offer their special D-MAP doe permits for youth hunters only.
