BATESVILLE — The Central Baptist College Lady Mustangs won all four games of the Lyon College Invitational softball tournament last weekend.

The Lady Mustangs beat Hannibal LaGrange (Mo.) 6-0 and Greenville College (Ill.) 17-3 on Friday and came back Saturday to defeat Benedictine-Springfield (Ill.) 11-0 and Avila (Kan.) 10-2. CBC started the season 8-0 for the second time in as many years and are on a 19-game win streak dating back to last season. The Lady Mustangs last loss came on April 17, 2010, 10-6, to Bethel College, which was their only loss of the 2010 season.  

For the weekend, pitcher Jessica Bock improved her overall record to 5-0 by throwing two shutouts against Hannibal LaGrange and Benedictine. Freshman pitcher Jessica Sheldon also picked up two wins and improved to 3-0 by defeating Greenville and Avila.  

CBC hit 11 home runs and scored a combined 44 runs in the four games of the two-day tournament.  

CBC plays its open opener Tuesday at City of Colleges Park in a doubleheader against Arkansas-Pine Bluff beginning at 1 p.m.
