Fire Marshal Mike Rhoades, Lowe’s store manager Gary Stillwell and assistant manager Brenda Brown transport 300 smoke detectors to the front of Lowe’s Home Improvement in Conway on Thursday. The 300 alarms were donated by Lowe’s to the Conway Fire Department to be distributed from the department’s Central Station located in downtown Conway. Rhoades said anyone who wants a smoke detector may come to the station Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to pick one up. Conway residents may request that firefighters assist them, if needed, in installing the alarms. COURTNEY SPRADLIN PHOTO
