The Care Cap Connections cancer project meets at the Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene, Highway 65 North, Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is invited to cut, pin, sew and package head scarves for women and girls undergoing chemotherapy. In its sixth year, Care Caps has donated more than 33,600 caps to the American Cancer Society and 23 major U.S. cancer centers. Each month, the Greenbrier volunteers include helpers from Conway, Damascus, Bee Branch, Guy, Quitman and locations, plus visitors to the area. No experience is necessary. Light refreshments are served at mid-day. Pictured is the Arkanas First Lady, Ginger Beebe, sewing a cancer care cap.  More than 1,500 volunteers have joined the charity project since 2006.
