The Faulkner County Council of Parent-Teacher Association met in all-day session with the Enola association Saturday.

There were 60 present and nine associations represented. Liberty Special won recognition for having the largest number of members present. Miss Katherine Temple, county health nurse, reviewed her work in the county and assured the group of the cooperation of the health department. Russell Roberts, newly nominated representative of Faulkner County, discussed the amendments to be voted on in the November election.

After the program the Enola association served a bountiful picnic dinner. At the afternoon session officers for the new year beginning Oct. 1 were elected as follows: Mrs. C. W. Jones, Conway, president; Mrs. O. Q. Snow, Centerville, vice president; Mrs. W. C. Vaughter, Conway, secretary-treasurer. Those from Conway who attended the meeting were Mrs. J. H. Pence, Mrs. L. C. Florence, Mrs. C. W. Jones, Mrs. W. C. Vaughter, Mrs. Byron Griffith, Russell Roberts and S. D. Mitchell.

Miss Molly Paulk of Conway will attend the quadrennial national Methodist Student Conference Aug. 26-31 at the University of Illinois in Urbana.

She will be one of 65 Arkansas college students at the meeting.

Miss Paulk, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Paulk, will be a senior at Hendrix college this fall.

Jan Edwards has joined the staff of Hawks Realty Better Homes & Gardens.

She is a graduate of the Paul Harris School of Real Estate in north Little rock and is a part-time employee of Federal Express

She is married to John Edwards, manager of Holiday Inn in Conway, and has two children, Stephanie and Jason.

An aide to U.S. Sen. Tim Hutchinson fielded questions and comments on Thursday from county residents at Conway City Hall as part of a program implemented to familiarize the senator and his staff with issues of importance to all Arkansans.

He talked briefly with Conway Mayor Tab Townsell and City Planner Bill Polk about how Hutchinson might be able to help Conway get federal grants for potential city projects like the western loop and the relocation of the airport.

Hutchinson will be in Conway today for a town hall meeting at 10:45 a.m. at the Conway Chamber of Commerce and then at Acxiom for a reception at 11:30 a.m.
