Officials with the Conway Police Department are investigating an aggravated residential burglary that occurred late Monday evening.

According to a report from the incident, a couple who live in the 1300 block of Torreyson Street faced down two armed suspects from their bed after the suspects burst through the door to their home.

The report states that the couple were in bed when two tall, black males burst in the door and pointed a shotgun at them, demanding money. One of the victims told the officers that the suspect with the gun "rammed the barrel of the gun into his leg", which caused a slight cut.

The victim also stated that when the men were yelling and demanding money, the suspect holding the gun, "racked" it, causing a shotgun shell to fall out of the weapon.

Both witnesses indicated that the suspects were dressed in black clothing, wearing black masks that exposed only their eyes and mouth, but were not wearing gloves. The suspects shoved the victim’s wife during the ordeal but she was not hurt.

The children that were in the home at the time of the incident picked up the shotgun shell prior to the officer’s arrival. The shell was collected as evidence.

The men left the home after being given about $600 in cash.

Officials with CPD are asking that anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspects contact them at (501) 450-6120 or text a tip by sending information as well as the keyword "Conway," to 274637 (CRIMES).
