It is time to seek the Lord. This is the powerful message that Bro. Lynn Mayall brought to us in Sunday’s service. Hosea 10:12 says, "Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you."
Take a look at your life and how you are living it. Are you producing anything for God or have you strayed away from Him? When our lives start going downhill, the devil takes control. What profit is there in serving the devil? He has come to kill and destroy. He will not bless your life. God has given us our body in which we place a great deal of emphasis. It is a temple of the Holy Ghost. If we are saved, we are to glorify God in our bodies. God also gave us a mind to study and learn things. We should never glorify ignorance because knowledge is power. I Corinthians 1:21 says, "For after that is the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe." God can change things dramatically. Allow Him to be a part of your life and see what a difference He makes.
Wonderful things are occurring here at Calvary Church. I feel a revival is upon us and what a great feeling that is! To see our church growing is like no other feeling I have ever felt. To see non believers becoming followers of Christ is the best feeling of all. I am excited to announce that the ensemble has finished recording their CD which will be available soon. I, along with the other ensemble members dedicated long hours of practice and to the process of recording to glorify his name and the unifying theme was that it touches some lives and brings that lost soul to Christ.
Please come and join us here at Calvary Church. We are located at 1832 Robinson Ave. in Conway. Sunday Services are at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. with Wednesday night starting at 6 p.m. with a potluck then Bible study. AWANA will be starting next Wednesday night. The teachers are starting to prepare for the exciting new year that lies ahead.
Just remember, if all else fails, seek the Lord! We are ‘a fellowship of Baptist believers.’

What a blessing. We continue to see an increase in attendance in all services at Bethlehem. We are having so many visitors to worship with us and welcome them at all times.
Bro. Jameson’s Sunday morning messages are on prayer. The evening messages are on "Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Your Preacher But Were Afraid To Ask." Wednesday evening study is on wisdom. All three of these studies are on good basic Bible teaching. We would love to share these good messages with everyone in the community, so if you do not have a church home, we would welcome you at Bethlehem.
Tonight the Pairs and Spares Sunday school class will meet for a class get-together in the FLC at 6 p.m. Everyone in this age group are invited to attend, even if you do not attend Sunday School.
There will be a Baby Shower honoring Ryder Reynolds, soon to be born son of Mitchell and Haley Reynolds, from 4-6 p.m. Sunday in the FLC.
Tomorrow evenings service will be Galilean Recognition Service.
This Friday, Bethlehem will start the football season off feeding the Panthers. We will need volunteers in the morning to help prepare the food. Serving will be around 3 p.m., so we will need servers and clean-up help, especially clean-up help so everyone can get through early and travel to Beebe for the game.
We also need home-made cookies and/or brownies. This is always a fun time and a great way to show our Christian love to a wonderful group of young men and coaches.
Sept. 7 is the target date for the women’s Beth Moore bible study on Wednesday evenings. If you are not a member of Bethlehem, you are welcome to attend. I will have more details in next week’s column.
Do you have gently used children’s books lying around your house and not being used? If so, we would love for you to donate them to be used for The Bookcase For Every Child Project. You may give them to any Bethlehem member or drop them off at the church office.
