Davenport completes designation for CIC
The Farris Agency has announce that Leslie Davenport (account manager at Farris Agency Inc.) has recently completed her designation for CIC — Certified Insurance Counselor.
"The CIC designation proves a high level of professional education and a commitment to a course of continuing education. Persons who earn the CIC designation have indicated they recognize the need for practical insurance education through their careers as insurance professionals. The CIC designation is earned by attending five three-day institutes, including Life and Health, Commercial Property, Commercial Casualty, Personal Lines and Agency Management. At the conclusion of each institute, a rigorous examination must be passed."
Leslie has been with the Farris Agency since 2009 and in the insurance industry since 1998. She has held the positions of Endorsement Underwriter, Service Station Underwriter, and now Account Manager - along with positions as a Rater, Coder, and Policy Issuance. Leslie was a graduate of Conway High School in 1991 and graduated from Petit Jean Technical College in 1999 with a degree in Associate of Applied Science. She received her Commercial Property Casualty license in 2007 and Life License in 2009.

She will be honored at PPA’s annual convention, Imaging USA, in New Orleans in January.
Strain-Mahar earned a merit — a mark of quality and honor — for each of the four images in her print case to the International Print Competition.
Images are judged based on a standard of artistic excellence, not against each other. She was one of only 51 bronze medalists.
