The Arkansas "Workforce Alliance for the Growth in the Economy," W.A.G.E., job training program has now opened a satellite office at the Conway Adult Education Center located at 1925 Lee Ave. Class hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The WAGE training is completely free to business and industry partners, and adults seeking employment. The program is intended for those who are seeking additional job skills, those who have been out of the workforce or would like to change occupations.
Students can increase their marketability with employers by showing current training in computer technology, customer service and workplace effectiveness. By obtaining WAGE certificates, students can provide verification of skills included on their resumes to potential employers. Certificates available to students through the WAGE program are: Employability, Customer Service I and II, Bank Teller, Clerical, Industrial and Career Readiness.
Participants can enroll any time and exit when individual goals are completed.
WAGE was developed by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, Adult Education Division and is an equal opportunity service provided by the Conway Adult Education Center.
Students who are interested in the WAGE Program can also attend classes at the main WAGE office located at 1500 N. Museum Road, Suite 110 in Conway, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
