Auto sales have apparently been going well for a 41-year-oldConway man, but he will likely be changing locales soon.

According to a just-released report on the incident, Conwaypolice stopped the man and a female for allegedly failing to stop at a stopsign at the intersection of Jersey Street and Angus.

The couple, husband and wife, according to the woman, gaveconflicting information as to what the man’s name was.

While searching the vehicle, police found a locked blackbox. The woman gave them the combination, and inside the box was at least$15,000 in cash.

Police took the man to the detention center, where theylearned he had been deported from California in January 2000.

The report said authorities called immigration officials,who asked them to hold the man in custody.
