Vitaliy Schafer of Conway, formerly of Tennessee, and in the 11th grade at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock will be attending a six-day program, the National Youth Leadership Forum on National Security (NYLF/NS): Exploring American Diplomacy, Intelligence and Defense. The NYLF, founded in 1992, is an educational organization established to help prepare extraordinary young people for their professional careers. The conference will be held Oct. 4-9 in Washington, D.C. Schafer was nominated by his teachers to attend the conference.

"I believe this conference will help me establish a thorough knowledge of challenging careers in defense, diplomatic corps, and intelligence. This conference will also allow me to participate in thought provoking questions about our country on the insights of current issue I will also listen to strategies that helped highly respected policy makers and senior military officials to succeed," Schafer said in a submitted press release.
