CONWAY  — The University of Central Arkansas Department of Occupational Therapy will be providing three CarFit events in the local community to help older adults "fit" properly in their cars for optimal safety. This is a free educational program developed collaboratively by AAA, AARP, and the American Occupational Therapy Association to enhance safety in our community. Although the program is focused on older adults, all drivers are encouraged to drive through. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to "Check in," "Check Up," and then "Check Out." Please share this information with an older adult and encourage them to stop by. The dates and locations are as follows:

• 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the UCA campus parking lot on College St. (next to College Square Retirement Center), Contact: Mysti Drinkwater (mystidrink@gmail.com or 501-766-5994).

• 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Maumelle Senior Wellness Center (550 Edgewood Drive, Maumelle).

• 9 a.m.-noon Friday, Oct. 7, at First United Methodist Church (Prince St. and Clifton St.), Contact: Mandy Pippinger (apippinger1@cub.uca.edu).
