Mrs. Ed Simpson entertained her bridge club Wednesday afternoon at her home on Robinson avenue. Garden flowers were used to decorate the living room where games were played. Mrs. M. C. Davis and Mrs. Walter O. Scales were prize winners and Mrs. H. B. Barker of Pontiac, Mich., was a guest. A salad course with ginger ale was served after the games.

The 25th Faulkner County Fair went into the books Saturday night at the biggest in the county’s history.
All the records were set despite bad weather the first day.

Two Faulkner County residents were winners Sunday at the Arkansas State Fair and Livestock Show.
In the junior Angus division, the champion bull, Drive with Pride, was shown by Rusty Mahan of Greenbrier.
In the junior Shorthorn show, the reserve champion female, Annia Okly, was shown by Ricky Clements of Greenbrier.
Another winner Sunday was CBR Ms Bob 2-7T, champion female in the junior Brangus division. CBR Ms Bob 2-7T was shown by Lanelda Caldwell of Rose Bud (White County).

Chase Dean Ward is one lucky little baby. Not only is he the first child of Janee and Bryce Ward of Perry, he is also the first baby to be born in the new Conway Regional Women’s Center. And as that first baby, he received approximately $1,200 in gifts.
Weighing in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and measuring 20 1/4 inches long, Chase Dean Ward was born at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25. He is a grandson of Tim and Deborah Watson of Morrilton and Dena Spear of Atkins.
Conway Regional Women’s Center was opened for patients late Monday, Sept. 24. The first baby was delivered by local obstetrician Dr. Michael Wood.
The presentation of the gifts was made Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Women’s Center.
