Officials with the Conway Fire Department have shut down the intersection of Donaghey Avenue and Prince Street while crews work to repair a broken gas main. According to Bart Casteleberry, CFD fire chief, firefighters have made sure that residents of six houses closest to the broken gas line were not at home and turned off the gas to other homes in the area. The campus of Conway High School East has not been evacuated at this time but officials are monitoring the direction of the wind in case it changes, causing them to remove the students. The gas line was punctured by crews doing repair work to the street.
