Violation of omnibus DWI act - second offense, 2600 block of Donaghey Ave.

Officers responded to an accident scene on Washington Avenue, near the Donaghey Avenue intersection where a vehicle with substantial damage had been abandoned. Inside the vehicle, the officers found an employee badge with a woman’s name on it, and blood on the airbag that had deployed. They were able to locate the woman from the name on the badge and proceeded to her home to check on her and see if she needed medical attention. When they arrived, they noted that the woman was unsteady on her feet and smelled of intoxicants. The woman admitted to being the only person inside the vehicle and that she had been drinking earlier that night. The woman had dried blood on her face but declined medical attention. The woman was taken into custody and failed standardized field sobriety tests when they were administered. She was cited for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident causing property damage. She was transported to the Faulkner County Detention Center for processing.
