Officers responded to a local business in reference to a disturbance. When they arrived, they observed three Hispanic males in front of the business, one of the males was bleeding profusely from his head. MEMS was called to provide care for the man. Bystanders told the officers that three white males had just left the area after fighting with the three Hispanic males. The witnesses were able to provide the license plate number for the vehicle the suspects were driving. An employee of a nearby business translated for the officers as the victims spoke little English and he was able to tell the officers that one of the victims had kicked the vehicle that the suspects had gotten out of and as a result, one of the suspects picked up a "mag lite" and struck the victim on the head, causing the large, open wound. At this point someone grabbed the suspect and told the man to stop hitting the victim. The suspects made some racial comments to the victims and left the scene. Deputies with the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department have attempted to make contact with the registered owner of the vehicle the suspect drove. The investigation is ongoing.
