Theft of property, 400 block of Sixth St.
A woman made contact with an officer by phone to report that her ex-husband had stolen some of her pain medication. The woman stated that she was recovering from surgery due to being diagnosed with cancer and her ex-husband had "acted as if he was going to help her out" and have her prescription filled. Instead, the man gave the woman two Oxycodone pills and kept the remaining 23 pills. The man also used about $600 from the woman’s food stamp card and had stolen her state identification card as well as her medicaid card. The officer contacted the man’s parole officer and advised her of the situation and was told the man already had a parole violation warrant out for his arrest. The parole officer noted that she would add the recent incident to his list of charges. Surrounding law enforcement agencies were advised to be on the look out for the suspect. The victim was advised to contact the department if he returns to her home.
