Officials with the Conway Police Department arrested a woman on Thursday following a domestic disturbance at her home that involved a weapon.
Latoya White, 31, has been charged with aggravated assault of a family member after she fired a gun inside her home during a dispute with her boyfriend.
According to La Tresha Woodruff, public information officer with the CPD, White and her boyfriend had argued on Wednesday and he left their home with a child. He stayed away overnight and returned to the home on Thursday and the couple began to argue again.
“White’s boyfriend told officers that the couple had been fighting about some money that he had asked her to hold for him,” Woodruff said. “At some point during the dispute, White grabbed a gun and fired a round into the ceiling of the master bedroom. He also said that White pointed the gun at him and said she would ‘blow his head off’.”
After the couple fought, White left their home in her vehicle and her boyfriend called for help. Officers in the area were given a description of White's vehicle, and she was taken into custody a short time later.
White remains at the Faulkner County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
