Public intoxication, 500 block of E. German Lane.
A woman called to report that a suspicious person was sitting in his vehicle outside her home. When officers made contact with the man and asked what he was doing, he stated that he had taken some medication and had consumed some alcoholic beverages the night before and "somehow ended up there". The officers spoke with the woman and she stated that she had been asleep on the couch in her living room and woke up about 6:45 a.m. to find the suspect standing in her living room with the door that leads to the garage open. The woman stated that she asked the man his name and then told him to get out of her house. The man left through the garage door and the woman called for assistance. The officer noted that the man appeared to be in an intoxicated state and failed a sobriety test at the scene. The officers attempted to speak with the man’s relatives to have them come get him but were unable to do so. At that point, the man was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the Faulkner County Detention Center for processing.
