An Ohio man who was arrested for the robbery of Centennial Bank at 1815 E. Oak St. in 2010 pleaded guilty to the charges Monday, according to Faulkner County Prosecuting Attorney Cody Hiland.

Eric Kennedy, 34, of Hillsboro, Ohio, will serve 20 years after pleading guilty to a robbery that took place in June 2010. Kennedy robbed the bank and took $4,000. He was arrested days later at the Economy Inn on Oak Street.

Officers recognized Kennedy from an incident at the Continental Inn a month prior, and police received a tip that the suspect was seen in an older model gray car. After discovering that Kennedy had already checked out of the Continental Inn, Conway police searched area hotels and were advised by an employee of the Economy Inn that he was a registered guest at the hotel. Kennedy was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Faulkner County Detention Center Unit II.

He was booked on charges of aggravated assault, a Class Y felony, theft of property, a Class C felony, terroristic threatening, a Class D felony and theft by receiving, a Class D felony.
