A man was transported to Conway Regional Medical Center on Monday after being stabbed by a carving knife blade in a barn.
An officer said that upon his arrival at the hospital, he immediately noticed "a strong odor of intoxicants" and the man's glassy eyes.
The man told the officer that he tripped over a bucket containing the blade of a carving knife while getting out of a chair in his father's barn. He denied having an altercation with anyone and said his father was inside of his home when the accident occurred.
He told the man he had consumed "about a six pack and a couple of shots" prior to the stabbing incident.
The officer informed the man that alcohol and sharp objects do not go well together, and no further action was taken.
