Conway police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred around 7:30 p.m. Monday night at Game Point on Donaghey Avenue.
Two store clerks told police that they noticed a man come into the store and wander around for several minutes, though he did not seem to be looking for anything in particular. The man eventually came to the counter to purchase games, and while standing there, set a backpack down on the floor. The man then removed a silver handgun from the bag, demanded money from a cash drawer and ordered the clerks to the ground, where they remained for the duration of the incident.
The subject reportedly spent several minutes going though a cash drawer and a money box. Clerks said at one point, he left the cash register area and went to the front door of the business and locked it, before returning again to take more money.
The suspect left the business through the back door with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police obtained footage from the store’s surveillance system.
The suspect is described as being a black male, wearing a white hat and long-sleeved white T-shirt with khaki pants.
Officers searched the surrounding area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
