The Residential Colleges Program at the University of Central Arkansas will host a special presentation about the Gusangira Project, a student service-learning initiative that developed as a result of the study abroad trip to Rwanda, tonight.

The event is not open to the public but is a step toward creating a program that allows students to travel to Rwanda to teach science.

The presentation will be at the president's home, and one or more members of the UCA Board of Trustees could be in attendance.

Students and faculty will discuss the purpose and goals of the Gusangira Project, which includes establishing a canning cooperative, providing science kits and books to schools, and supporting a student in Rwanda.
