A resident at Westlake Apartments contacted police on Wednesday to report that she was robbed by a male known to her. The woman told officers she was unlocking her car just before 1 p.m. when a black male named Johnny approached her while she had her back turned.

The 24-year-old woman said she hadn’t seen the man in approximately seven months and didn’t know his last name, but said he possibly lives in the area.

The man reportedly had his hand in a coat or shirt pocket and pressed it against her back, demanding money. The woman told police when she looked back and saw who the man was, she turned around and they began arguing. When the argument became loud, neighbors reportedly came outside and ran the man off. The suspect was described as being dark skinned, approximately 40 years old, wearing a multi-colored shirt, black pants and flip-flops. The woman was told to contact police if she observes the man in the area again.
