The Banking and Finance class of Conway High School is now independently operating a bank in the Career Center named Cats Bank. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration was held on Tuesday, Oct. 30.

Students staff Cats Bank and are under the direction of instructor Alyce Hardee, according to a news release.

Students and staff plan to use the bank like a savings account. The goal is to teach students at Conway High the value of saving and managing money.

The Cats Bank has tellers, customer service representatives and a branch manager, who is senior Bob Gerdes.

Supporters of Cats Bank include Centennial Bank along with Greg Sanson, chief loan officer, and Cynthia Frost, vice president of retail banking.
