Now’s the time — before Christmas and whatever the Mayans predict — to get to the Faulkner County Library to choose original art for yourself or someone else you really, really like.

The Conway League of Artists is having its annual "small works" sale, some framed, some not, but all a good deal.

It’s the annual Christmas Show of "original art," the rarest and best kind.

You will recognize some of the artists, some you won’t right away, but maybe someday.

Some of the paintings are unframed in a basket, some are on easels, and some are hanging.

Everything is for sale and suitable for public viewing.

A portion of the sale price, about 10 percent, will be donated to the Friends of the Public Library, a great opportunity for helping artists and the library.

Artists may be adding offerings often, so as you visit the library, check in to see what’s new.

Good hunting for good gifts of original art. Some of the ones pictured are already gone. If you know what I mean.
