Stephanie Huffman earned the Pat MacDonald Outstanding Individual Achievement Award during the 41st annual conference of the Arkansas Association of Instructional Media, held in Rogers last April.
The Arkansas Association of Instructional Media is a group of professional educators dedicated to the improvement of education through the use of technology and media. The group host a professional development conference each spring providing educators with workshops specific to instructional technology, media usage and innovations in library media.
Huffman is an associate professor in the Leadership Studies Department at the University of Central Arkansas. She has served Arkansas Association of Instructional Media (AAIM) as an appointed board member, a conference planning member, the Legislative Committee chairwoman, the Professional Materials Committee chairwoman and the Audit chairwoman. She is a member of American Library Association (ALA), American Association of School Librarians (AASL, and Association of Teacher Educators.
Her leadership as the Library Media Program Coordinator at UCA was instrumental in having the program moved to the UCA Leadership Studies Department.
