The Conway City Council approved the nominations of several citizens to boards and commissions at its meeting Thursday night.
Marianne Smith Welch, president of the Old Conway Preservation Society, was appointed to the Historic District Commission replacing Mary Etta Qualls.
Trey Massingill and Velton Daves were reappointed to the commission.
All terms will end in December 2015.
David Vondran was appointed to the Health facilities Board.
In his application, Vondran said he has professional engineering experience in capital expansion projects for medical facilities.
He was the only applicant for the position.
Todd Ake was approved for a vacant position on the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board. In his application, Ake said he commutes by bicycle to his work at Kimberly-Clark and is a parent who encourages students to bike to school.
Peter Mehl and Duston Morris were reappointed to three-year terms.
