Faulkner County is in a band expected to get five to six inches of snow overnight Christmas, according to a weather service prediction posted before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Roads Christmas night were 'treacherous' according to the National Weather Service of Little Rock due to snow-covered ice.

Travel was not recommended Tuesday evening.

The weather service predicted the storm would dwindle in the morning hours Wednesday.

The chance of precipitation Wednesday is 20 percent, with highs in the upper 30s.
