A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a fatal crash summary by Arkansas State Police.


Daniel Hightower, 35, of Conway, was reportedly in his driveway at U.S. Highway 65 near Treasure Hills Road, when a 73-year-old from Greenbrier lost control of his 2009 Ford in the northbound lane, striking Hightower in his driveway before hitting two other parked vehicles and coming to a rest.


According to the report, conditions were clear and dry.


Hightower was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the Faulkner County Coroner’s Office.


The motorist was not injured.
