Barring another bout of icy weather, the Shoppes of Downtown Conway will be extending hours and opening their doors from 6-9 p.m. Friday for "Moonlight Madness."
The moon will be bright, as will the lights from the stores that will be offering special prices on wintry fashions and holiday apparel, some marked down as much as 50-75 percent off.
Restaurants along the way also will be welcoming shoppers.
Michelangelo’s is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a new menu and a new chef.
Pasta Grill, a newcomer on Front Street, has a welcoming interior and is already causing a buzz on the street.
Kim Williams, executive director of Downtown Partnership, says Moonlight Madness is a twice-a-year event that gets folks back downtown after regular hours.
Because of the possibility that bad weather may blow in, Williams said she didn’t plan to have musicians on the street corners.
"But bundle up and come join the fun," Williams said.
