The Conway Adult Education Center will host a free "Go to College" workshop 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday.

The workshop is intended to help guide students through the process of getting ready to go to college. Adult students, 18 years old or older, are welcome to attend. There will be a short presentation followed by a question and answer period for those needing more information.

The workshop helps students transition into college and navigate the process. Students planning on attending a two-year or four-year college will learn simple steps to help them get admitted and enrolled in college. They will learn how to apply for federal and state financial aid, how to search and apply for scholarship monies and what exams are required to enter college. The workshop also addresses deadlines critical to applying to colleges.

Students will also be informed about "scams" to avoid and given credible websites.

No pre-registration or appointments for the workshop are required.
