Jury selection in the case of a man accused of stabbing a Greenbrier woman in 2010 concluded just after noon Tuesday in Faulkner County Circuit Court under Judge Charles E. Clawson.

Ronald Adrean Britton Jr., 35, of Beebe, is charged with capital murder in connection with the death of 26-year-old Michelle Asher of Greenbrier.

Asher was found dead in her backyard Aug. 14, 2010 with multiple stab wounds to the neck and torso. Britton was arrested later that day in El Paso.

The victim's family said she had been missing for about 24 hours when a family friend went to the residence and found her body lying in the yard.

The jury panel includes ten men and four women. Opening arguments are set to begin when court resumes at 1:45 p.m.

The case is scheduled to last through Friday, though attorneys have said it may end sooner.

Prosecutors will not seek the death penalty in the case against Britton. If convicted, he faces life in prison.
