Conway City Council members decided Tuesday night to hold off on a decision about the new sound system for the council meetings.
The city reached out to three separate vendors - two from Conway and one from Tennessee - to put together proposals for the project.
Jack Bell, assistant to the mayor, said the two proposals from Conway were similar while the proposal from the Tennessee company pitched "an extremely more advanced system."
Some aldermen said if they were going to do this project they wanted to make sure they did it right, but there was not a consensus about what was too much, too little or just right for the council's needs.
The council decided seek more information in committee before deciding on a system or vendor.
