Resturant chains and businesses are offering military personel, including retirees, veterans, National Guard and Reserves, free meals, services and discounts for Veterans Day to thank them for their service.
Golden Corral Veterans Day Free Meal
On Monday, Nov. 11 from 4 to 9 p.m., Golden Corral will be giving out Veterans Day free meals to any person who has ever served in the U.S. military or is on current active duty. This includes retirees, veterans, National Guard or Reserves.
All Golden Corral locations will be participating and no identification is required to get your free dinner buffet and beverage.
Last year, Golden Corral served over 375,000 veterans on a free meal.
Chili’s Veterans Day Free Meal
Visit Chili’s on Monday, Nov. 11 to get your Veterans Day free meal if you are a veteran or on active military duty. You’ll get to choose between these free meals:
Oldtimer with Cheese, Chicken Crispers, Margarita Grilled Chicken, Classic Turkey Toasted Sandwich (full), Lighter Choices Grilled Chicken Salad, Soup & Salad Combo, Any Flatbread (full size), Any 9 inch Pizza, Any Lunch Combo during lunchtime.
You’ll need to show proof of military service to get your Veterans Day free meal.
Starbucks Free Coffee
Starbucks will be giving out free tall brewed coffees to veterans, active duty military and their spouses on Veterans Day.
Call ahead to make sure your local Starbucks is participating.
T.G.I. Friday’s Veterans Day Free Lunch
T.G.I. Friday’s will be having free lunch for all veterans on Monday, Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at participating locations. Be sure to contact your local T.G.I Friday’s for details.
Bring in proof of military service (U.S. Uniforms Services ID Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID Card, a Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, a DD214, a photograph in uniform, or wear your uniform) and you’ll be able to choose any item off the lunch menu for free.
Outback Steakhouse Free Bloomin’ Onion and Beverage
Stop into any Outback Steakhouse on Nov. 11 to get a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage. This offer is for veterans as well as active duty and retired military.
Outback Steakhouse is also giving out a military discount of 10% off the total check Nov. 12 to Dec. 31.
Little Caesar’s Free Crazy Bread
Stop into a Little Caesar’s near you and get a free order of Crazy Bread for Veterans Day 2013. This is valid for veterans as well as active military members.

CiCi’s Pizza is giving free buffets for all veterans who show their military ID.
Great Clips Free Haircuts
Veterans and active/inactive/retired military members can stop into Great Clips on Monday, Nov. 11 and get a free haircut or pickup a free haircut card to use before the end of the year. Anyone can stop in to get their haircut and receive a free haircut card they can give to a veteran. These cards will also be available on Great Clips’ Facebook page.
Sports Clips Free Haircuts
Veterans and active duty U.S. service members can stop into participating Sports Clips on Monday, Nov. 11 to get a free haircut.
On Veterans Day, military members and veterans can get 15% off eligible store items at Walgreens as well as 20% off Walgreens, Nice!, and W brand products.
Home Depot 10% Discount
Home Depot is branching their military discount out to include all veterans for Veterans Day. Veterans can save 10% off all purchases up to $500.
Lowe’s 10% Discount
Lowe’s has a 10% military discount for current, retired, and VA members. This also applies to immediate family.
JCPenney 20% Discount
JCPenney will give anyone with a military ID or proof of service 20% off their purchases November 6 through 11.
Dollar General 11% Discount
Veterans and active military members will get 11% off their in-store or online purchase at Dollar General on Veterans Day.
Big Lots 10% Discount
Big Lots will give you a 10% discount on your entire purchase when you show your military ID at checkout.
