Country music radio personalities Bob Robbins and Jennifer Trafford are moving to KMJX 105.1 The Wolf beginning Jan. 2.
According to a news release from station owners Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Little Rock, the Bob Robbins and Jennifer Trafford Show will air weekday mornings from 5 to 10.
The duo recently won a Country Music Association Award for best media market radio station of the year at the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville.
Robbins began his radio career in Little Rock in 1972 on KAAY-AM and joined KSSN in 1979. Robbins has been recognized by the radio industry including a Country Music Association Award for radio personality of the year and a Marconi Award as well as being inducted into the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame.
"I know Bob is excited to move to 105.1 The Wolf, creating the next chapter in his life and radio career, " said Ron Collar, market manager, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Arkansas. "He has been the mainstay on KSSN for 34 years and we appreciate everything he’s done for us."
The Bobby Bones Show, based in Nashville, will fill the spot on KSSN from 5 to 10 a.m. The morning show will feature on-air personalities Bobby Bones, Lunchbox and Amy, with guest appearances from Country artists . The press release describes the entertainment as "a unique mix of pop-culture, news and crazy stunts."
"It’s been a great 34 years helping to build one of America’s leading radio stations and I’ve loved every minute of being on KSSN," said Robbins. "I’m looking forward to moving over to The Wolf 105.1 to play the Country music that’s been a large part of my career. I still love KSSN and wish Bobby Bones and all my friends and radio family there, continued success."
