Conway's Christmas tree assembly was moving along Friday afternoon and is expected to finish up Saturday morning, just in time for the tree-lighting festivities Saturday night.

At 3:45 Friday afternoon, Jason Hull with Get Lit, LLC said the tree skeleton was about three quarters of the way finished. He said they plan to work until it is either too dark or too wet to continue.

The crew will be back out at 6:30 Saturday morning to start attaching the branches, which Hull said is a pretty quick process. There are 900 branches that go with the tree and Hull estimated it would take three to four hours for all of them to be put in place.

Some of the branches are already in Conway and the rest are expected to arrive later tonight.
