The fifth armed robbery in one week has been reported to Conway police.

According to a Conway Police Department incident report, a resident at the Greens at Nutters Chapel near Pebble Beach Drive was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday on his way back to his apartment from the complex's dumpster.

The victim told police a male approached him from behind, put a gun to his back and demanded "anything he had on him."

The victim gave the subject his wallet, which contained two gift cards.

After the victim gave the man his wallet, the subject struck him in the head with his fist, according to the incident report.

The victim told police the subject fled on foot into nearby woods.

The subject was said to have been wearing a red hooded jacket, faded jeans, gloves, and possibly white Nike Air Force sneakers.

The victim was unable to determine the subject's age or race.

The report stated the subject seemed to have a limp as he ran away.

La Tresha Woodruff, Conway police public information officer, said police do not think the robbery is related to the string of armed robberies late Sunday at South Donaghey Avenue, Dave Ward Drive and College Avenue.

The latest incident is also not believed to be related to an armed robbery that occurred Monday at Arkansas Federal Credit Union on Skyline Drive.

Police have arrested Demitris Maple, of Morrilton, in connection with the credit union robbery.
