Nicholas Anthony Derose, of Clinton, is set to appear in court for a pretrial hearing April 21 on 41 felony counts of possession of child pornography.

Derose, 42, pleaded not guilty to the charges on Feb. 10.

Derose’s arrest followed a search warrant coordinated by federal agents, the United States Secret Service, Arkansas State Police and the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office at his home at 410 Glacier Road.

According to a prosecutor’s affidavit, Derose admitted after his arrest in January to not only possessing, but producing child pornography.

The document states Derose told investigators he distributed the content on the Internet.

Reasonable cause for Derose’s arrest was obtained by investigators with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations and assisting agencies.

Derose is in custody at Van Buren County Jail.

If he is released on a $250,000 bond, he will wear an electronic monitor.

He is subject of a no contact order and may not be present where children congregate, according to court information.
