A resident reported that at some point between early Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon a thief or thieves broke into a truck by forcing open the back glass and stole about $2,000 worth of baseball equipment and a Smith and Wesson revolver chambered in .38 S&W, a fairly rare caliber. The handgun has a serial number starting with the number 6.
• Possession of a controlled substance at 1700 block of Bryant Circle.
Someone called police early Monday evening to report suspected suspicious people at an apartment. The people turned out to be not suspicious, but rather employees of the property management company that owned the apartment there for their normal business. However, both had warrants and there was a suspected methamphetamine smoking pipe and about three-quarters of a gram of suspected meth in their truck. Both said they didn’t own the suspected contraband.
• Theft of property at 700 block of Oak Street.
At some point between mid-morning and early afternoon on Tuesday a thief or thieves stole the tailgate off of a homemade trailer, maybe just to get the trailer license plate.
