A student at Mayflower High School was flown via air ambulance to Children’s Hospital Monday after he fell from a stage while fighting with another student, according to district superintendent John Gray.
Gray said two students got into a fight at lunch, and through the fight one of the students "fell or came off" of the stage and hit his head on the floor.
Gray said the injured student was evaluated at Children’s and sent home early in the evening Monday.
"He’s at home, and our last report was that he’s doing fine," Gray said Tuesday.
Gray added that fights aren’t prevalent at Mayflower schools, and they may occur five or six times a year.
