• Theft of property at 700 block of Fairview Street.

A U.S. Postal Service mail carrier told police he saw a man check his own mailbox and then check his neighbor’s mailbox and remove a package.

The mail carrier moved his vehicle down the street and watched in his rear view mirror as the subject took the package, according to the Conway Police Department incident report.

The mail carrier told police he was aware of past instances of missing mail from the mailbox next to the subject’s.

An officer who arrived on scene noted he saw the subject walk to a nearby residence and hand another subject two small objects. The small objects were later found to be "Cyber Gell Squeeze Balls" the neighbor had ordered to have delivered.

The officer made contact with the subject, who stated he accidentally took the package from his neighbor’s box.

An officer asked the subject where the packaging was for the items, and the subject said he threw the packaging away. The subject retrieved the packaging and took officers to a cinderblock wall near his front door. The subject had shoved the packing slip down into the center of the cinderblocks, according to the report.

The victim whose package was allegedly taken told police several packages had gone missing in the last six to eight months. One of the missing packages was a cell phone, according to the victim.

• Motor vehicle theft at 2800 block of Dave Ward Drive.

The victim told police her moped was stolen from her son’s residence. The moped was parked with a flat tire.

• Criminal mischief at 400 block of Second Street.

Two victims told police someone slashed tires on both of their vehicles. The vehicles were parked side-by-side, and the four slashed tires were between the vehicles, according to the report. The victims were adamant that they knew who the culprit was.

• Breaking or entering a vehicle at 2100 block of Independence Avenue.

The victim told police someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a tire inflator kit, jumper cables, a battery charger and a Tom-Tom GPS unit.

• Civil matter at 300 block of Westover Drive.

The victim filed a complaint with Conway police after she said a remodeling company began a job and did not finish it. The victim told police she has contacted the man who owns the company many times, but he always provides excuses as to why he can’t complete the job.

• Public intoxication at 2000 block of Keathley Drive.

Officers responded to a residence in the area in reference to a female subject sitting in the front yard of someone’s home.

Officers on scene observed a female subject staggering in the street. Her clothes were wet, muddy and her leather boot was soaked, according to the report. When asked if she knew where she was, she answered, "64." She told officers she had just left a bar, and she was walking to a friend’s house. An officer noted in the report the woman sat on the front of his patrol car as she was speaking to him.

She appeared to be intoxicated, and she was transported to Unit 2 for booking, according to the report.
