Icy road conditions caused several minor accidents in Faulkner County on Wednesday and Thursday, but no serious accidents or injuries have been reported.
"The main arteries look pretty good right now, but the secondaries are still partially covered," Matt Rice, Chief Deputy for the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office, said."I’m not sure how it will fare after dark."
He said Highways 64, 65, 365 and 36 are safer routes, but Highways 107, 225 and 285 farther north are riskier areas for driving.
Rice said there were approximately 10 accidents in the county Wednesday night, and a couple of minor incidents occurred Thursday morning.
LaTresha Woodruff, public information officer for the Conway Police Department (CPD), said Conway police have responded to a few reports for single vehicles sliding off of icy roads.
