Students at Carolyn Lewis Elementary are helping sell plants from the school’s garden this week to celebrate the new school and support the project.

Each class has been assigned a time to go out and look at or purchase vegetables, herbs and flowers grown in the garden.

On Thursday, the public will be able to join the school in the Garden Cafe Classroom from 3:15-5:30 p.m. where they will continue to sell plant starts of broccoli, kale, collards, lettuce, parsley and cilantro for 50 cents.

Cut flower bouquets will also be available for $1.

"We hope to see you there and we thank you in advance for supporting our school garden," the school posted on its Facebook page.
