Conway Christian’s Bennett Pascoe was a double winner Tuesday in the Class 2A state track meet at Hendrix’s Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.

Pascoe easily won the 800 meters in 2:00.4 and the 1600 in 4:31.84. His ninth-grade brother, Brady, finished fourth in the 1600.

The CCS boys finished 12th overall. Caddo Hills won with 69 points, followed by Lafayette County’s 64.

For the Lady Eagles, Rhaegan Linn finished second to Lafayette County’s Darnisha Sikes twice — in the 100 and the 200. Kendra Lea finished sixth in the 1600.

Quitman claimed the girls title with 70 points. Foreman was second with 52.

The 1A state meet was also held at Hendrix with the classifications rotating by events.

Guy-Perkins and Mount Vernon-Enola tied for 18th in the girls competition. Decatur won the girls championship with 91 points. Mineral Springs was second with 64.5.

Michaela Malone finished sixth for Guy in the 100 hurdles. and second in the 400. Grace Acre was sixth in the 1600.

For MV-Enola, Hailey Rousch was fifth in the triple jump and Dixie Sherrill was eighth in the discus. The Lady Warhawks were sixth in the 4x400 relay.

The Guy-Perkins boys finished 12th. Trinity Christian won the championship with 92 points. Decatur was second with 76.

Ashley was second in the high jump for the Thunderbirds. Jahcoree Ealy was fifth. Henley was also seventh in the 3200 and 800. Ealy was seventh in the long jump.
