Born in Lincoln, Neb., as Lois LaVonne Faling on Nov. 25, 1922, she died at the home of her daughter, Beverly, in Hot Springs, on July 5, 2010.

Lois and her husband, Kenneth Allen Baird, lived in many states, raising their children in Nebraska, Colorado, Hawaii, California and Arkansas. 

She spent the last years of her life in Texas. 

Throughout her life, Lois volunteered for several organizations, including serving as a Pink Lady in various hospitals for over 30 years. 

In honor of both husbands, she was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Lois was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Carl Glen Buckendahl, who died in World War II, and Kenneth Allen Baird; son, Robert James Baird; and son-in-law, Donald Wayne Willoughby.

Her surviving family includes daughters, Lois Kay Willoughby, Beverly Jo Hackney, Peggy Ann Margan and Teresa Leinani Baird; sons-in-law Darrel Hackney and Maurice Margan; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
