Jay B. Chambers, 68 of Conway passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Conway Regional Medical Center. He was born June 11, 1942 in Elk Valley, Tenn., to Ollie Mae (Hicks) Chambers, who resides in Clinton, Tenn., and the late Thomas Chambers. A brother Harold also preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rebekah Bailey Chambers of Conway; two sons, Thomas Jay and wife Raelynn of Haslet, Texas, and Jayson Brooke and wife Anne of Collierville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Bailey, Callie, Hunter and Reid, and also a brother, Dr. Raymond Chambers of Lenior City, Tenn.

Mr. Chambers was a graduate of East Tennessee State University, in Johnson City, Tenn., in 1964. He was retired from Glaxo Smith Kline as District Manager in pharmaceutical sales.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City, Tenn. Services will follow at 8 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Tom Byrge and eulogy by Thomas G. Hicks. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City, Tenn.
