Leola Frances (Lee) Moore, 86, of Conway passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 at Salem Place Nursing and Rehab.

She was born Oct. 14, 1924 in Porum, Okla., to the late Joseph and Ola (Miks) Griffith.

She graduated from Porum High School in 1942 and after graduation, moved to Muskogee, Okla., where she was employed by Sears & Roebuck. After that, she moved to Parsons, Kan., to work for Hallmark. She married Robert W. Moore in Bentonville on Sept. 8, 1952. He preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1991.

While living Parsons, Lee Served as Girl Scout leader for many years and was affectionately known as "Miz Moe" by all her troop members. She was a member of the Church of Christ and retired from First National Bank in 1989.

Survivors include one daughter, Lou Anne Ward and husband Roy of Conway; a granddaughter, Maggie Clay and husband Ryan of Greenwood, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Colleen Moore of Parsons, Kan.; grandson Dr. Michael Moore of Chicago, Ill.; granddaughter Margo Moore of Parsons; great-grandson Max McKinley of Parsons; and great-granddaughter Emilee Raine Clay of Greenwood, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her aforementioned husband and parents, sister Louise Cockburn of Wister Oklahoma, and son R. Roger Moore of Parson, Kansas.

Memorials may be sent to the Roses Among Thorns, a cancer survivor group, Linda Dickey, 5 Loyal Lane, Greenbrier, Ark.,  72058.

Memorial services will be held at a later date and the remains scattered in her hometown of her beloved Oklahoma.
